I always have enjoyed different art mediums since a young child. I have been working with glass since 1988. With a buiness partner we owned and operated Artistic Touch of Glass (a stained glass supply and teaching studio) from 1992 until the end of 2012.
In 2005 I started teaching weekend workshops in the USCAD program twice a year until 2015. This year, 2018, I will again start teaching with them.
In 2009 I completed the USCAD program and received my Certificate of Art and Design. I have been in art shows at St. Thomas Moore Gallery as instructor and as a student. I have also been shown as a feature artist at both Rosthern's Station Place Gallery and The Mendel Art Gallery gift shop. since 1992, I have participated in the Saskatoon Glassworker's Guild show called "Glassart".
The traditional methods of working with stained glass is still my main interest. I find making windows and lamps that are done in lead or foil work enjoyable. I also like the painting on glass method which lets me add detail to designs.
Since my retirement I still work in glass and when someone wants to learn these methods I still enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience in my home studio so I keep some basic supplies on hand.
